Hey everyone! It’s a beautiful Sunday, not only the weather is great, but so is Sunday Ska! Featuring in this segment are three bands from the United States. Meet The Remedies from Las Vegas(NV), Empty Bottle from Chicago(IL), and Voice of Addiction from Santa Barbara(CA). As always, if you want to get your music promoted: send a message to bluebeat.connect@gmail.com.

Coming from Las Vegas, NV, the Remedies has been around since the 2008 and has brought to the Vegas music scene a mixture of ska, rocksteady and reggae. Their fanbase expanding exponentially with each show, they are ready to take on the national music scene as a whole, with their first CD set to debut in Spring 2010. Check out them at the upcoming Ska in Park festival in Pomona, California this Summer.

The next band hails from Chicago, Illinois and is described by Live Show Review as “Hey, blogspot readers, time to work off those extra holiday pounds with Voice Of Addiction! Forget health guru Richard Simmons …this local band will definitely get you in shape sweatin’ to their punk rock sound.” Not only do they bring forth the raging punk, but add in amazingness that is ska. This band is playing shows nightly and this song, entitled “Empty Bottle” off their latest CD “Re-evolution”. So check it out and if you like it, get the CD and see them at a show!

Wrong Again, a band from Santa Barbara brings to the table an eclectic mix of reggae, rock, soul, and funk to the music scene and does an amazing job of it! It was formed in the campus of UC Santa Barbara in 2005 and has two CDs under it’s belt. Their songs range from reggae to rock and has a very mature tone to it. “Crave” is a song, which reflects their talent and has a very cool reggae feel to it. Quite riveting, so check it out and show some love!
